PEUGEOT’S all-new and highly-anticipated 3008 SUV, the latest player in a rapidly growing category, will be an important arrival on the Australian market.

- New 3008 SUV features the latest PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®

- Configurable 12.3-inch head-up digital instrument panel for 3008 SUV

- 8.0-inch touchscreen for 3008 SUV

- Powerful petrol and diesel engines, standard automatic transmissions

The new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV arrives at a time when customers are increasingly demanding vehicles with a difference and 3008 delivers through its revolutionary, latest-generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, its refreshingly inspired styling and its high-tech equipment, all of which immediately establish the new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV as a key player.

The all-new PEUGEOT 3008 SUV is a well-equipped, sophisticated and stylish vehicle combining efficiency with high levels of safety, technology and unique features.   Every model will feature the latest PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®; compact multi-function steering wheel, the latest version of PEUGEOT’S configurable 12.3" head-up digital instrument panel and an 8.0" central touch-screen.

The range starts with the well-specified ‘Active’ model which bristles with standard features including safety equipment usually available only on top-of-the-range models.

These include adaptive front airbags, driver and front passenger side airbags and front and rear curtain airbags, Dynamic Stability Control and electronic Anti-skid System, Driver Attention Alert system, Lane Departure Warning, Isofix child seat fittings, programmable cruise control with speed limiter and speed limit recognition and recommendation.

Four model levels will be available with Active, Allure, GT Line and the range-topping GT grades meeting every buyer’s needs and budget.

Australian PEUGEOT 3008 SUV buyers will have a choice of petrol and diesel engines with the 1.6 litre THP 165 petrol and 2.0 litre BlueHDi 180 diesel, both fitted with the EAT6 six-speed automatic transmission.

The THP 165 petrol engine develops 121 kilowatts of power at 6000rpm and 240 Newton metres of torque at 1400rpm. The BlueHDi 180 diesel makes 133 kilowatts of power at 3750rpm and 400 Newton metres of torque at 2000rpm.

SUV sales have increased incrementally since 3008 was first launched in 2009 and the C-segment in particular is booming.

PEUGEOT’S 3008 SUV not only embodies ownership values but also meets the desire for personal expression and the need for escapism while enjoying new experiences.Today’s drivers want their driving experiences enriched by emotions and that starts with a welcoming cabin that can be personalised to be as relaxing as the family home. In other words, they desire a modern luxury SUV.

Sadly, the experience of driving an SUV rarely lives up to the expectation so the challenge facing PEUGEOT was to incorporate all the characteristics of the segment while delivering a modern, sleek and intelligent package.

With the new 3008 SUV, PEUGEOT has moved itself above the C-segment SUV mainstream, a move confirmed first and foremost by the standard fitting of the new PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®.
